TeleVisit Information

Comprehensive Arthritis Care is excited to announce that we are now offering TeleVisits, a more convenient appointment option, which allows patients to have a visit with their medical provider from the comfort of their home or office.

To schedule a TeleVisit, please call our office at (615) 822-5660. (Please note that in the event of an emergency you should not use TeleVisits, but call 911 to seek immediate medical help.) You can schedule TeleVisit appointment for new and follow-up visits. Please note this is a billable service. If this is not covered by your healthcare insurance, you will be responsible for covering the entire cost for this visit. A signed CAC financial policy that is on file will apply for established patients. Please Like & Follow our Facebook page Comprehensive Arthritis Care for all updates. New patients will need to print the patient registration form available on our home page. Fill it out completely and sign. These can be sent to us via email. As soon as we have received the information, we will call to make your TeleVisit appointment as a new patient. To be able to utilize TeleVisit, you have to be web enabled in the system. This means we should have your email in your chart. Ensure you are enabled for our Patient Portal and know your username and password when your appointment is booked.

Access the Patient Portal by going to Patient Portal

If you are using your smart phone for the TeleVisit, you will need to download the HEALOW APP. Once the app is downloaded you will need to find us in the system either by using the practice name or telephone number or the name of the provider. Create your log-in credentials. After creating your profile, please call the office and schedule a TeleVisit appointment with your provider.

Things to do before beginning your TeleVisit, make sure that you:
• Have an active Patient Portal account, with username and password in place
• Set aside a secure, well-lit private location

1. “Arrive early” by logging in to your Patient Portal. If you can’t access the Portal, you can also begin your appointment through the reminder link sent to your email.
2. Click “Join TeleVisit” in your patient dashboard (or email reminder).
3. Fill out any patient questionnaire, and provide requested personal information.
4. Click “Proceed” to check your computer’s speed and ability to support a TeleVisit. If your computer does not have a webcam (most do), you will need to attach one.
5. Click “Start TeleVisit” to enter the virtual waiting room.
6. Your physician will begin the face-to-face TeleVisit, and disconnect when the visit ends.
