Arthritis statistics compiled by the National Center for Chronic Disease
Prevention and Health Promotion say that Arthritis and other rheumatic
conditions are the main cause of disability in the USA. Costs to the U.S.
economy totals more than $86.2 billion annually. Currently an estimated 43
million adults in the USA reported being diagnosed by a doctor to have some form
of arthritis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, gout or lupus. By the year
2030, they estimate that 64.9 million citizens will have been formally diagnosed
with an arthritic condition. Inactive lifestyles is clearly a factor in the
growing number of cases. Consistently people who are overweight or obese are
being diagnosed with arthritis. Arthritis patients have significantly worse
quality of life than those without arthritis. Arthritis has an attributable risk
of 18.1% for major depressions. At CAC we educate & empower patients to take
control of their life. We provide aggresive treatments to limit the damaging
effects of arthritis. The goal is to protect and restore joint mobility.
Over 45
Million people in the U.S do not have health care coverage. This impacts the
health and economics of our community. This also limits the longevity of the
individuals without health insurance. Patients with arthritis or other Rheumatic
diseases are particularly vulnerable and without treatment many become disabled.
At CAC we have easy payment plans for individuals that don’t have health
insurance. CAC’s vision is to provide quality health care to our community
members. This sense of community and service separates us form the rest.
